Depending on the home country of the volunteer, there are different connections to Rychnov nad Kněžnou that may be better and faster than others. Coming from the west, the best option might be to travel to Prague, from there with a train to Hradec Králové, and then to Rychnov nad Kněžnou. From the north and east, there are often options to travel directly to Hradec Králové. For volunteers from the south, the best connection might be to travel to Pardubice and from there to Rychnov nad Kněžnou.
