My name is Olivia and I come from a small region called County Mayo, In Ireland. I am 21 years old and a recent graduate from University in Ireland with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. Some of my hobbies include music, water sports, exploring and meeting new people.
A question I get asked a lot recently is: ‘What made you decide to do an ESC project?’, and my response would be:
Due to Covid, my university experience was cut short, and I was forced to study and complete my undergraduate degree at home in my bedroom. This isolation made me want to explore and adventure out more once my degree was finished. I agree with the motto: ‘Life’s too short’, and life is definitely too short to be living life in my bedroom, in my small town in Ireland. I had never heard of ESC until a friend from university had mentioned what ESC was all about. As soon as I was informed about what an ESC project entailed, I hopped onto my laptop and signed up straight away. A few days later, I was lucky enough to be contacted by Josef and Edgars who wanted to reach out and have an interview. I think it is safe to say the interview went well. That’s when I knew that an ESC project was for me and would give me the adventure, I had been seeking the past year.
